An importer iltis ‘German’ in BC who referred me to a German who wrote a book on the history of Iltis … (the only book on iltis I know)
and I forget!
After all this research, I still have no evidence that there is a second iltis RHD in the world
I called all the Jacques Dion of the province. Finally found only the old M.Dion’s woman because the latter died in a car accident in November 2011 … the day I bought my iltis !
I have the log book of Jacques Dion describing the trips he made to Singapore where he met high-ranking officers of National Defence and Germany at Audi ‘for the creation of this prototype.
My vehicle appeared in the Quebec and Montreal newspaper on this article: http://www.autonet.ca/fr/2014/05/16/bombardier-iltis-un-modele-unique-au-monde
Jacques Dion Chief Engineer at Bombardier Iltis for every file used a VW iltis to make the conversion. My iltis is not a ‘Bombardier’ but a VW.
